The School Board of District 261 met in regular session on April 15, 2013 in the Media Center of the School. Chair Wing called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM with members Hoff, Johnson, LaRue, Rylander, Spangler, and Wing present. Absent: Nelson. Also present were Superintendent Allan Jensen, Principal Shane Tappe, Renee Melby, John Kent, and Perry Butler.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
LaRue moved to approve the agenda, Rylander seconded. MCU.
Johnson moved to approve the following consent agenda:
A letter from Minnesota Association of School Business Officials was read announcing that Renee Melby has successfully completed the MASBO Voluntary Certification Program.
Wing gave a report on the Fergus Falls Special Ed Coop, and Ashby Education Foundation.
Nelson’s handwritten report on Region 1 and Lakes Country Service Coop was distributed.

LaRue made a motion to approve the School Calendar for 2013-14. Spangler seconded. MCU.
Rylander made a motion to approve the work agreement for Jr. High Track Coach for Samuel Lange. LaRue seconded. MCU.
LaRue made a motion to appoint Suzanne Wing as the representative on the Fergus Falls Area Special Ed Coop Board. Hoff seconded. MCU.
LaRue made a motion to approve the Mathematics Teacher Contract for Jeffrey Risbrudt for 2013-14. Spangler seconded. MCU.
Johnson made a motion to accept the following gifts:
Park Region Telephone: Community Ed Easter Egg Hunt $50.00
Peterson Tripp Post #357: Science Fair $300.00, Eagle Mount $150.00, Community Ed Easter Egg Hunt $100.00
West Central Initiative: Ashby Education Foundation Grants $14,948.00
