Good afternoon Arrows - It is time for another drawing of the Arrow Pride Award Winner. As we count down the days to Christmas break, why not do it with a pep in your step. Though the holidays can be a busy and stressful time for many of us, as with most things in life, we can choose the attitude we have and the behaviors we project. Throughout this week we are having various activities that bring out the best in all of us while having fun at the same time. Today and tomorrow we are playing bingo to help support families in our area, other organizations will be spreading cheer in other ways and we will cap off the week with a movie in the gym surrounded by friends. Whatever your plans are over the next couple weeks, whether it is heading over to grandma and grandpas, aunts, uncles, mom or dads, remember that the important thing is that you take the time to appreciate those around you, the times you have together however long or short and that you participate in conversations with family members you otherwise would not have. Enjoy this special time of year and remember that you control your attitude. As for me, I plan on rocking my through the holidays just like the songs say. The following students have shown us their best last week in learning and living the Arrow Way. I ask that the following students please come down to collect their Arrow Pride Award and to choose their reward for their efforts. As Arrows we strive to live and learn The Arrow Way by excelling in academics, being responsible and respectful, taking advantage of all the opportunities bestowed upon us, working hard and finding success in all that we do. We are what makes this school a special place to work and learn.
Congratulations to those of you who were picked and good luck to all of you potential winners for next week’s Arrow Pride Awards.

December 10th Good afternoon Arrows - It is time for another drawing of the Arrow Pride Award Winner. Sometimes we all need a little incentive to push ourselves through the holiday season. Parents by this time of the year are scratching their heads trying to find ways to get kids to bed on time, brush their teeth, or even do their homework. Santa for many families is a great person to oversee what we are doing in our everyday lives to make sure we don’t end up on the naughty list. I am sure there is even a teacher or two who have used the phrase “You better not shout, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why…” Though we are all working towards being on the nice list through the month of December, I feel we don’t need the incentive of Santa to do what is right at school, at home, and in our community. We can make a choice every day to spread cheer, work hard, and take advantage of all the opportunities we have all on our own. You may not be ready for it, but it is that time of year again. The ground is covered in snow, people are putting up Christmas Lights, ugly sweaters are getting pulled out of the closet. Though many people grumble about the month of December and the holidays, the truth is it brings out the best of most of us. Organizations are spending time collecting food and other essentials for those in need, we get together with friends and family we haven’t seen in many cases all year and we take the time to look back at the year and reminisce on the good, reflect on the bad, and develop our plans for the future. It is unfortunate that we need to wait all year to give ourselves to others, to celebrate with family and friends and to reflect on what has happened over the course of the year. It is something we should be doing as frequently as we can. As we move through this month, make a point to offer acts of kindness not only here at school but where ever you go. You never know who is watching and just may return the favor. The following students have shown us their best last week in learning and living the Arrow Way.
