Good Afternoon Arrows - It is time for another drawing of the Arrow Pride Award Winner. We don’t have to look far to see great students doing amazing things at APS. Community members throughout Ashby just need to look out their back doors to see students engaged in learning, actively participating in community events, and giving of themselves to others through various organizations. We are much more than students here at APS, just like your parents are more than just parents, we all have roles that take us in different directions to help support our homes and communities. In our school community, I along with your teachers can see how your efforts shape our school and your futures by the way you interact with your peers, participate in class, volunteer throughout the school and community and truly make effort to make our school a special place to work and learn. The following students have shown us their best this week in learning and living the Arrow Way. I ask that the following students please come down to collect their Arrow Pride Award and to choose their reward for their efforts. Elementary:

As we start to settle into our new routines, the beginning of the year anxiety and nervousness tends to go away and we begin to focus on our studies, friendships, and activities. It is at this time we decide to take on new challenges and face the fears we had coming into the school year. One of the greatest obstacles we face every day is ourselves and the fears and anxiety we take into each day. I can tell you now the only way to get over this is to BELIEVE. Believe in yourself. Believe in others. Believe in our mission and goal of having each student leave here successful and prepared to take on any challenge they choose to face. Believe that we can do anything.
