One of the benefits of having a community is knowing that regardless of what is going on in your life, you have someone there to support you. So whether you are walking in the dark and feeling alone or are shining bright, there is someone there to stand by you giving you the light to move on or the high fives to celebrate. Here at Ashby no one should walk alone and we all should be one to stand by someone in their moment of need or in their moments of greatness We are going to stand by these following students for their work in becoming the very best versions of themselves. Sometimes it is hard to see where you are going to end up when you have so much ahead of you to take on. In our heads we try to convince ourselves that the task is too difficult or the road is too tough. I can tell you though that successful people are able to recognize the challenges ahead of them, clear the distractions and design a path to help the get from where they are to where they want to be. I can tell you that when you do get where you want to go it's “Going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day! Congratulations to those of you who were picked and good luck to all you potential winners for next week’s Arrow Pride Awards. Congratulations to Emily Nelson in 5th Grade for winning the 5th Grade AR March Madness Tournament! She has worked extremely hard in 4 short weeks to reach a total of 23.9 points. To want is a natural reaction in life. We want the newest and the greatest, the best of the best and we want it right now. Unfortunately, like our little friend Veruca Salt found out in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, life doesn’t always provide what we want right away. Most times we have to work for what we want. Here at APS our following students have showed us that when you truly want something we have to be patient, follow the course, trust the process and to work hard every day. These attributes will get us much further than whining and crying and begging for results without actually deserving them. Congratulations to the following student on earning their Arrow Pride awards: Back: Autum Bitzan, Dakota Ecker, Miles Hoff, & Christian Norby

This is Mr. Moore signing off…and in the words of Willy Wonka: We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams. |
