February 28th: Good afternoon Arrows - It is time for another drawing of the Arrow Pride Award winners. Hard work is just that… Hard. And though it takes hard work to be successful, being recognized for that hard work makes it all worth it. For some, an end goal or something tangible like a reward drives us to put the time in to be successful. For others, there is intrinsic motivation or yearning to continuously improve to become the best version of ourselves. Regardless of whether you work for a reward or for yourself, we would like to take a moment to recognize those that go above and beyond to make this school one to be proud of. The following students had shown us their best last week and because of that, we would like to reward them with this week’s Arrow Pride Award. When you hear your name called, please come down to the office to pick your reward for your efforts in living and working the Arrow Way. Congratulations to those of you who were picked and good luck to all of you potential winners for next week’s Arrow Pride Awards. Good afternoon Arrows - It is time for another drawing of the Arrow Pride Award Winner. I have to apologize for missing the Arrow Pride Awards last week. I hope the humiliation of dressing up in a dress and getting a few pies in the face made up for my lack of follow-through. Admitting we have made mistakes doesn’t make us weak, in fact, it is the opposite. Mistakes are a part of life. I make at least one mistake a day… At least. Through our mistakes, we live, we hopefully learn, and we grow. This process is ongoing it should be present in all facets of our lives. It is what makes us human and what drives us to do great things. Never be afraid to admit you have made a mistake. Acknowledging that you are a human and that errors can be made is healthy… however, if you are repeating that same mistake and are always apologizing for the same thing, you may need to consider whether or not you really intended to make a change or whether you are just acknowledging the fact that there is a problem. Regardless, live your life willing to make mistakes. Be bold, be brave, be present, and be willing to recognize when you have made a mistake…. Learn from it and move on.
